HMD Global Launches Nokia 106 (2018) with a New Design and Better Battery Life; Read for Price and Specifications
The well-known phone brand, Nokia has a new model in the market, the Nokia 106 (2018). This is a descendant of the original Nokia 106 that was launched back in August 2013. The phone is equipped with a tough polycarbonate with “inherent coloring”. This feature lets the colors run through the material. The new model comes with a contoured design which makes the phone more efficient and comfortable. The latest Nokia phone also claims to give up to 21 days of standby time or 15 hours of talk time, with only charging it once.

The phone was first launched in Russia, retailing at RUB 1,590. That would make it about 3,240 in Pakistani Rupee. The only option of colors available is Dark Grey. It has not yet been globally made available but will be launched soon enough.
The older version, sold at a larger quantity because back in 2013, the market for feature phone was larger than the market for the smartphone. It was available in Red, Black, and white. But this time the company has focused on just one basic color, Dark Grey.

Nokia 106 (2018) Specifications and Features
The phone hosts double SIMs. The display is a 1.8 inches QQVGA (160×120 pixels) TFT display. It is fuelled by a MediaTek MT6261D SoC. It measures 111.15 x 49.5 x 14.4 mm.The phone has a 4MB of RAM and a 4MB of internal storage as well. The phone connects to a Micro-USB charging cable and 3.5mm headphone pack. The battery as a power of 800 mAh.
The best thing about phones in the 2000s was the games that came with it. We would spend all day playing Snake Xenia on our (or our parents’ phones). Nokia 106 (2018) still has the nostalgic game pre-installed. Furthermore, it has many other games. Such few examples are Nitro racing, Dander Dash, and Tetris. The phone has a huge memory and it can save up to 2,000 contacts and around 500 text messages. The phone menu contains an FM radio, too. There is an LED flashlight on the phone as well.

In comparison, the original Nokia 106 has a 1.8 inched QVGA display with a resolution on 160 x 128 pixels. It could only save up to 500 contacts. The weight of the phones is 74.2 grams. The battery with a power of 800 mAh was touted to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time. Furthermore, the phone could last for 840 hours of standby time in a single charge. The original version’s dimensions are 112.9 x 47.5 x 14.9mm. It has many features that the new variant carries as well, like the flashlight, FM radio, calendar, speaking clock, alarm clock, and reminder.
HMD Global has not only been busy with Nokia 106 (2018) but also focusing on upgrading the designs of other phone sets. Nokia 230 (2015), that was originally launched in Black and Silver color options will now be available in Light Grey and Dark Blue, too.
