Samsung Galaxy A8s is now for sale, costs less than $450

Every day we hear about new technological advancements and updates introduced in our smartphones. Some are better, others not really. New innovations and ideas are what keeps this industry interesting. Starting from a buttoned 2 MB phone to holding 512 GB of memory is huge progress. Once upon a time, we couldn’t even think of having a camera in our phone. But, now those picture qualities from camera phones have gotten beyond perfect.

Samsung was the first mobile phone company to introduce a camera under the display screen. It did so officially in its new phone Samsung Galaxy A8s. The device has been recently made available for sale. It appeared on the Chinese online smartphone store, JD.com. The phone retails at CNY 2,999 which loosely can be converted to $450.

The specifications of the phone are as follows/ The Samsung Galaxy A8s has two variants, one with 6 GB the other 8 GB. The initial market release (on JD.com) only has the 6 GB variant available. The other will hit the market soon.The phone comes with an in-built storage of 128 GB which can be extended thanks to the micro SD card slot. The phone can handle a memory card of up to 512 GB. To run the device, Snapdragon 710 chipset has been installed. It is paired with the software, Android Pie out of the box with customized UI for the Chinese market.

As for the most important part of a smartphone, the camera Samsung Galaxy A8s uses a triple camera set at the back. The cameras stand vertically above one another. The front camera is 24 MP with f/2.0 lens. The camera lies underneath an Infinity-O notch in the LCD panel. It is the first of its kind. The Galaxy A8s is clearly just a test how the wide audience will react to the new solutions, with the design likely to be transferred to the anniversary flagship Galaxy S10. It is a smart move by Samsung.

The phone is not yet available worldwide, just in China. Though the 8/128 GB variant has still not been officially launched as of yet. The phone is currently available in three colors- Blue, Aurora Black and Alien Silver. There are also some gifts like power banks, holders and JD vouchers.
