Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were the seventh generation flagship smartphones from Samsung. They had been quite successful and are still being sold increasing the sales for Samsung. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, Android 7.0 Nougat was soon available for S7 and S7 Edge users.


A few days back, we told you about Samsung releasing Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Users of both of these smartphones were delighted by this news. However, Samsung had to call back the update and stop its operations due to technical difficulties.

Android 8.0 update was released in the UK initially. However, users reported various issues with the update. The major issue that was reported was regarding unexpected rebooting of the device. Luckily, not many smartphones were affected by this issue. Samsung officials have given statements in defense of this update. They told the media that they are investigating the new software and are looking for issues. According to a few sources, same issues were reported in Canada too.

Although there were major issues with the update, Samsung has still succeeded in finding the right solution for the issue. Samsung has started releasing the update again starting from UK. The update will be soon available in other regions and countries too. According to some sources, the phones will feature the following firmware versions.

  • G935FXXU2ERE8
