PTA Extends Deadline for Blocking Phones

According to the reports, the PTA has informed by the committee that 150 million users would have enough time to check their phone statuses further. Or maybe some of them can’t even understand the message seriously. However, the committee further raised many questions in which the PTA officially submitted in its behalf that the status checking move was actually taken by the Telecom Policy.

However, the committee also points out that why this movement was not held before. These questions were raised via a parliamentary panel which asked briefing from PTA on the matter of blocking un-registered phones. Though, the committee also suggests to not block those un-registered IMEI phones even after the due date which are working, currently.

Though, the committee also suggested blocking of invalid or non-compliant phones, even the new purchase phones after the due date.
